Mayuko Asai was born in a small village within a mixed household. Her mother was of Farfolk origin as her father was a Highlander, hence her physical Highlander features. During her early childhood, the female lost her mother as she had been sick for a long time. Her father decided to move back to his home village within the Kingdom of Haense, with Mayuko as he didn’t have enough funds in order to raise his daughter and the village was on the verge of going bankrupt.

Upon arriving in the village located in the Kingdom of Haense, they decided to move into their grandparents’ house, allowing the female to be able to slowly begin to prepare in order to become a ‘successful wife’ in the future. The female’s appearance however was quite unique, being born a ginger with ocean blue eyes yet having asian features, making it hard for her to make any friends. In the village she lived in, she was often stared at by the other folk as she wasn’t able to blend in quite well with the rest of the crowd since it was unusual for an individual of Farfolk origin with mixed Farfolk and Highlander features to be present in such an environment. 

Though it was hard for her to find friends, she did manage to make a friend she began to cherish, a male named Grazius and so the two stuck together like glue. Mayuko wasn’t the sharpest in her studies, unable to read and write as she was too busy focusing on housework yet she still tried her best, sometimes however being caught daydreaming in her own little universe or in general being absent minded. Grazius began to help her frequently with her studies, teaching her how to read write and solve basic math equations. As the two grew closer, a new spark showed up in their relationship, a spark of love. The two began to like each other yet never went as far as confessing, knowing it was improper and against the rules of the village.

Years rolled by like a wave on a windy day and soon the male had reached the age of eighteen, the female being several years younger than him. Grazius acted like a guardian towards Mayuko, always taking care of her as she was quite a coward when it came to most situations, especially rude comments towards her origin and looks. Those days had to come to an end as Grazius fled the village after a fight with his parents, leaving Mayuko alone, unprotected with her father. She loved her father and didn’t want to worry him as he was already dealing with a lot, still not having gotten over his wife’s death. 

As her childhood best friend, her guardian had left the village without a word, the female continued her studies in school, taking care of her father as he grew older and needed extra treatment as he was more fragile. Mayuko took over as his caregiver, taking care of him along with cleaning the house, cooking for him and in general putting the skills she had learnt during her childhood to use. Her father soon died of age, leaving the now twenty-six year old female by herself, alone once again.

Mayuko packed her stuff, determined to go on a journey to find her childhood best friend- or rather, her first love. She was old enough and needed to be married soon in order to make her ancestors proud- or so she thought as it was a family tradition. Mayuko had overheard that he was often spotted in a tavern in the wonderful city of Helena and so her journey began...
