You’ve just arrived in a swampy, dim town. As you look around, your gaze is met with shacks and cabins. It smells of rotted wood and wet moss. You duck and step into a tattered tent, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the tent, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town? she begins, then pauses to study your face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a cushion, “Tell me your story.”
((How do you respond?))
he looks at her with a sudden confused look and with a concerned inflective in his voice "what... i have never met you or ever spoken to you old mystic". The old hag looked him with a smile "oh but you see my knowledge you is far outside of what you are expecting... but any way you still have yet to tell me your story". he sits down on the old raged cushion. his voice changed to a calmer inflective "well you see I'm knight from relatively small village that i came a cross in my travels... there was a small local church that worships the god called the Creator. At first did not think much of this church or its god in till... the old priest of church came to me and asked "well hello i see you have arrived at our small village do you have a place to stay...if not you could always stay at the church until you leave town and all i ask in return is that you help the town and participate and learn about Canonism and our values." i did not bring a lot of money with me definitely not enough for a inn so i accepted his invitation to stay at that church in till i left town" his voices inflective becoming more confident "so over time of my stay might i add i was only going to stay there for 2 months stayed there for 3 years" the old hags face that was focused as she was listening " As i started to listen and read some of these scripture... i.... for some reason i started to agree with it. it changed and convinced me so much i pledged my allegiance to the small church and so for 3 years i protected the village for some time from small and local threats but as the years passed by a famine swept through the village". he said with a somber inflective in his voice " then slowly more and more people left the village in fear that they will starve left for greener pastures by then only the most devout to the small church stayed and by then the priest of the church was the only one that did not leave when he became old and ill he said on his death bed " you have served this church, town and god well you must keep the seven virtue in your heart and remember them at all times for they and gods will lead you to long and fulfilling life and here take it" he points to his holy robes "i cant take those there your holy garments " he says concerned with being told that. "take them they will help you remember your faith in.. the.. darkest... of...... times. the last bit of life leave the old priest as he looks blankly at the leaky sealing. "i will" he said with a soft tone "then i went to be bury the old priest then i remembered the holy robes" he walked his way back to the front of the church and enters "i then took the robe and fashion it into a cloak worthy of this memory. " his voice swelled passion. "now i wander the lands helping and defending the faithful and stopping any that seek to corrupt and twist the holy into evil abominations...".he paused for a second. his voice shifted from passionate to calm. "there that is my story...". he got up with a determined look and left the tent to continue his purpose.
