You’ve just arrived in a swampy, dim town. As you look around, your gaze is met with shacks and cabins. It smells of rotted wood and wet moss. You duck and step into a tattered tent, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the tent, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town? she begins, then pauses to study your face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a cushion, “Tell me your story.”
((How do you respond?))
Going over to sit down, you look around making sure no one is paying any attention, trusting strangers is a way you've found that gets people killed. "I've just come from up north. Looking for a fresh start of sorts. Lets just say that my life up until this point hasn't been very honest" You take another glance around the room, evaluating the people around you "I've been alone for a while, spending most nights in forests on the account of my lack of money. That being said, if you had anything you needed help with I'm always available. For a price of course." With a stern look at the woman you stand up "Not much else to tell really, nothing I care to share with a Stanger anyway...you know of a place I can get a drink?" He's from Norland originally and grew up with his parents. They weren't the nicest or wealthiest people and would often use Magnus to steal their food or other necessities. When he got older he didn't want to live the life his parents had, but with his best skill being thievery he decided he would try to get rick quick. This plan did not work as intended and he had he leave Norland our of fear of going to prison and loosing his only possessions.
During his time travelling alone he witnessed may different aspects of life he did not know before. Mainly he had witnessed what an actual family was like and decided that he no longer wanted to be a thief like his parents but to change his life around for the betterment of others. His best idea for this was to head south and see what befell of him.
