The man enjoyed his feet being upon stable ground, no longer forced to endure the rocking of the boat, seemingly as if he would never again stand up straight. Yet as his shoes found themselves once more upon solid land, he could no longer struggle with the inconvenience of a boats inadequate stability. He was here for a reason, of course, as he always had some reason or other for everything he did- If he didn't why would he bother to try and accomplish something so pointless as to not have a deciding reason behind it. Thus, ignored was the city of elegant architecture, and the sight and sounds of bustling people and boisterous sales that were surely overpriced. Yet, his eyes inevitably latched their gaze upon the man who had seemingly decided that he was someone to be approached. He didn't realise that he had an "Open to conversation" air about him. Gifting the man a scowl, he spoke, his voice guarded and cold, as if suggesting that he wished to be on his way, yet was still willing to take for the time being. "Merely a search, friend. I have someone to find, and something to do, as so many others who come here to achieve or complete a self imposed mission. I come here, looking for information- Infact. . ." His tone seemed to shift, as a smile formed on his face. He walked towards the man, his arms open and his body language now much more welcoming and friendly. "Perhaps we could have a chat. . .what would you like to drink?"

How do you avoid powergaming in roleplay?: Metagaming is using outside information in roleplay. This information is something inrp that you should not know, due to their being no reason why you should know it. An example would be knowing that the weakness of a structure is that a certain section is old and damaged. You claim to know this, despite never investigating if such a weakness existed nor finding out the weakness personally, and without being told that such a weakness exists.
How does metagaming disrupt fair roleplay?: Powergaming is rping in which one one person does one of three things. The first, is forcing an outcome, such as an attack or action in which the other person is given no chance to react or respond. And example of this, is someone attempting to rob a tavern, and a defender of the tavern responds with "I disarm you and pin you to the wall." The next form of powergaming is committing an action, attack, or general emote in which your character should have no way of doing. This can be seen as suddenly speaking a language your character has never heard before, running faster than a fully grown horse despite being lame in one leg, or managing to hit several times per second, all physically impossible. Lastly, Powergaming could also be making a character extremely powerful, by use of godly powers or other such things which are either non-canonical or unpermitted, such as being able to fly at the speed of light as he had been blessed by Kronk the god of Flight.
