You’ve just arrived in a swampy, dim town. As you look around, your gaze is met with shacks and cabins. It smells of rotted wood and wet moss. You duck and step into a tattered tent, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the tent, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town? she begins, then pauses to study your face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a cushion, “Tell me your story.”
((How do you respond?))
Analysing your surroundings, you clear your throat and address old hag, "My story is my own, I'm seeking shelter and directions to the nearest trade post" You readjust the now worn and torn vest covering your shirt. Feeling a twinge of discomfort from the old hags silence. The hag lets out a raspy chuckle "Definitely a Highlander, you smell of Animal and sweat, Very well three doors down is our local Inn get your answers there and be gone with you" You exit the tent, however the "Inn" that the hag had referenced appears no different from every other run-down cabin in this town, Nevertheless you proceed.

How do you avoid powergaming in roleplay?: To avoid powergaming during my roleplay experiences i would consider my actions and consider several factors being, The capabilitys of the character i am roleplaying, the consent of the players i am roleplaying with in relation to my action and the fairness of the action i am considering taking. For example if i was a 45 year old half blind man, i would not do the following
"Derek Swiftly and Expertly sneaks past Darron, unseen by Darron, Derek Takes his gold from under his nose" This would be Powergaming because it is unrealistic for a half blind 45 year old man to be so nimble and effective and furthermore this type of roleplay does not afford "Darron" a choice in what is happening to his character.

How does metagaming disrupt fair roleplay?: Metagaming can disrupt fair roleplay as it is utilising information your character would not have naturally had and can break the immersion and the entire point of the roleplay. Metagaming can in a sense also lead to light behaviours of Powergaming in that my character would be unrealistically utilising information that s/he would not have realistically obtained.
