You’ve just arrived in a swampy, dim town. As you look around, your gaze is met with shacks and cabins. It smells of rotted wood and wet moss. You duck and step into a tattered tent, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the tent, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town? she begins, then pauses to study your face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a cushion, “Tell me your story.”

Reluctantly, I shuffle over towards the cushion, letting my belongings sit on the floor near my feet. Anyone could be a threat but there is a slight warm feeling that is circling her ambience.

"And you are...?" Narrowing my eyes as the old hag is watching my every move like she was peering into the depths on my soul. With no answer out of the feeble woman, I let out a sigh.

"No use being so alert, it seems you know everything about me yet we've never met." My hands travel up towards my face, as I sit there, trying to find the right words to say. She hasn't said a thing yet I begin to pour my heart out to her. Leaning in, keeping my eyes on the dancing candle flames.

"I've run away from home...and I don't plan on going back." After a few hard blinks, I begin again. "That 'house' is nothing but webs of lies and constant betrayal; I need to protect myself from those people." My eyes finally lift up from the candles to see any reaction from the hag, however she disappeared in thin air like a hallucination. In fright, I then mumble to myself.

"Seems I've gotten quite delirious."
