You’ve just arrived in a swampy, dim town. As you look around, your gaze is met with shacks and cabins. It smells of rotted wood and wet moss. You duck and step into a tattered tent, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the tent, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town? she begins, then pauses to study your face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a cushion, “Tell me your story.”
((How do you respond?))
He stands, looking worried and troubled at the request, given the circumstances. As he sighs, and takes a seat, words flow from his mouth: "I am unsure what my story is, or what it will become. Awoken from what felt like centuries of slumber, I do not recall my past, my present, nor my future, all I recall is a passion for the unknown. Who I was in a previous life, does not matter anymore, who I am now shall shape the future, and who I traverse with." Taking a few minutes, to gather his thoughts, he continues (This is all because I'm experiencing mad writers block and can't think of a compelling, and useful story as of right now)

How do you avoid powergaming in roleplay?: It's rather easy to avoid, as I shouldn't be in the position to force another player to, for example "Bleed out on the floor, after I stabbed him", since, that'd be powergaming, and I don't have the power to force another player to die, fall, trip, etc, that's up to them to do their own actions.
How does metagaming disrupt fair roleplay?: Metagaming, for the most part, hinders roleplay. My character, let's say his name is McRonald and I'm roleplaying with Sir-HugsAlot. I know that Sir-Hugsalot did something three hours ago, could be that he robbed a nearby stall of apples, but McRonald doesn't know that, as such, my character cannot do anything about the incident, and if I did, it'd be unfair for Sir-HugsAlot, since he did it for one reason or another, that could be important later on for whatever reason, as such I should not intertwine myself in his roleplay, unless I actually visibly saw it. There's a lot of situations where roleplay really becomes forced or annoying, because one party knows OOC that they did something wrong, and force it upon the player/character that did something, just do get some forced piece of roleplay out of it. That's my take, at least.
