    How do you avoid powergaming in roleplay?: Metagaming is the illogical intersection between a player and their character. This includes using OOC knowledge in character, taking out of character conflicts into a roleplay, or vice versa.
    How does metagaming disrupt fair roleplay?: Powergaming is the unfair or illogical empowerment of one's character. This includes forcing the outcome of actions in CRP or giving characters spontaneous or illogical powers, such as a peasant having the power of god for no reason.

Cliff stepped off the boat, head darting to and fro as he took in the sights of the magnificent city. His homespun clothing and amazed manner made it obvious he was from the backwoods. It took him a few moments to realize someone was talking to him, and a few more moments of stammering before he gave a legible response: "H-Hello, sir. I've come seeking my fortune, as you said. This city is so large it must surely have what I am looking for." He waved the man goodbye with a slight nod and set out to explore the city.
