Grumpy from the journey and needing some ale to calm him down, Bernard would ask the the gentlemen "To sod of", ignoring his lofty, long-winded question. Not everyone needed to know what his grand aspirations were, as he was unsure himself. The question had peaked his insecurities for the future. Tired and caring little of what the local populace would think of him, he carelessly pushed through a crowd, eager to find an alehouse. However, in the process, he accidently knocked over a pottery merchant's wares. In response, the enraged merchant ordered a guard to seize Bernard, so they could take him in to the local guardroom for property damage. Bernard had no intention of going to prison so swiftly, and quickly swiped up a piece of sharp ceramic and pointed it at the Merchant and his guards face. Bernard quickly made his face fierce and narrowed his eyebrows, transforming him into a bear-like figure, with his stocky build and dark features certainly helping his intimidation tactic. Consequently, the Merchant and his man quickly gave up the act, avoiding Bernard's eyes and appealing to the crowd once more to buy their remaining ceramics.

How do you avoid powergaming in roleplay?: Using game mechanics for maximum gain. Or, acquiring information through means that are not natural or impossible for your character to learn. Examples include naturally speaking all languages of the various races when you're a simple peasant from the Heartlands.
How does metagaming disrupt fair roleplay?: Creating an unrealistic depiction of your characters abilities. Similar to becoming a superhero. E.g. Your character is naturally good at everything they try and have little to no flaws. For example, super strength and supreme intellect (you're basically Batman).
