Hollis was born in ancient Daeland. Neither his family, nor time itself much concerned Hollis, so soon after the preoccupied and melancholy youth was shoved out into the beautiful heath to look after sheep, time flew by without him (see Source). Time is far more in flux for Hollis than it is for many others, but he remains unconcerned and mostly doesn't notice. Centuries have passed without him so much as speaking with another mortal. It's not that he's immortal, the world is just fast-forwarding past the boring parts (Most parts are boring out on the heath). His lonely wanderings also occasionally prompt an unplanned meeting with the inhabitants of Fae Realm, such as satyrs and pixies, whose similarly unbound nature Hollis finds refreshing and terrifying. If there is one thing that induces passion in Hollis, it is philosophy. Despite his lack of learning, he has developed many (wrong) theories on the nature of the universe.
