Syldreia, like most wood-elves, could only call the District of Irrinor, located in the Dominion of Malin, her home. She was born to a wood-elf fletcher and healer as a middle child, between 2 sisters. Syldreia didn’t care for friends; she only needed her sisters by her side as she wandered the forest trails, chased startled birds. Her pastime was not only occupied by idle wandering, but religious practices; twice weekly, she would accompany her family to worship the Aspects in quiet groves. Shrines and blazing braziers dedicated to the powerful religious figures... Her memories of these peaceful moments were strong. Though informal, Syldreia had an education, much of which was taught by her mother and father. Her mother taught her of remedial plants, different maladies and the anatomy of different species – eventually, she even helped her mother in her clinic! Her father, on the other hand, had her helping in his workshop from a young age, carving wood for arrows or collecting feathers from specific avian species. Syldreia also took interest in the modern and ancient history of her people, seeking tales of Malin, researching the different Seeds, reading about the tragic curse bestowed upon the elves. Occasionally she would visit nearby towns, or explore beyond the bounds of the forest. All in all, it was a simple, repetitive life. She loved it, nonetheless.
She examined the man, wary of his questions. “Good day, sir. I’m here to... discover,” Syldreia responded, vague and untrusting. “Good day,” she repeated with a nod to the man, eagerly escaping his company before he could even reply.
