    How do you avoid powergaming in roleplay?: It is using information that your character would not know. Like having your character read over a wiki site then having the character being roleplayed as knowing somehow about the wiki site.
    How does metagaming disrupt fair roleplay?: Doing things that are not possible for the character. Like having a elder elf be able to do back flips and fight. It is not possible and it is powergaming which is not allowed.
