    In your own words, what is powergaming, and why should it be avoided in roleplay?: Metagaming is when the player quits playing as their character and instead play as themselves, and playing with the knowledge that they and not their character has. This is not acceptable and all knowledge used by the player character needs to be justified by backstory or learning through experience gained in the game world.
    In your own words, what is metagaming, and why should it be avoided in roleplay?: Power gaming is when players focus on gaining items and skills of great power but not through traditional rpg means. Rather than work for items of power, they use underhanded tactics to gain power quickly and unfairly.

Toman Alzil is from the Lunar Domain of Asimu'lei. His parents are both healers at  the Adont’Haelun clinic. He spent most of his childhood buried in his books at the library and absorbing as much history as he could. He became infatuated by the legend of the Wandering Wizard and all his readings. Ever since he was little he wanted to grow up to be just like him, and discover more secrets of the world. His parents had hoped he'd become a healer like them and stay in Asimu'lei, but he is set on adventure.  

 

Now that he is grown he has set out to discover the world's secrets in the hopes of becoming a famous historian. He has set off for the settlement of Talon's Grotto where he will begin exploring the coast in hopes of discovering new ruins to delve into. While there, he would want to join up with more capable fighters. He'd rather not have his first adventure be his last.

Physical Description: Toman Alzil is a thin, average height dark elf with dark ashy skin and long white hair. He wears travel clothes with the Asimu'lei's teal trimming.

Toman nods his head in greeting. Then say, "Well met, sir. I must say adventure sounds exciting, but first I need to know what is around. I'd like to find the local archives and do some digging there before I delve into any dungeons. I need some good material for my book, you see."
