A small, wood elven Seed that ultimately decided to move to a more secluded and accepting area. Abandoning their humanized ways in the human-inhabited lands, they fled to the coniferous forests to be left alone and practice their old ways.
Becoming nomadic and following livestock, the Mariunaem’s started to adapt their beliefs to be more aligned with humanity's influence on civilization. However, to them, the Aspects remained a pinnacle point of their principles. Alongside the Aspects, the Mariu’s believed in the forefather, Malin, as well, due to his everlasting impact and guidance to their ancestors of yore. Within their practices came the belief and ultimate respect of nature, which gave birth to the path of herbalism and traditional medicinal healing.
Accepting and understanding of the importance of herbs allocated throughout our realm, the small Seed began to study botanty and herbalism. Some of the wood elves found themselves to be accepting of it, while others in the Seed decided to dismiss it and pursue a path of hunting instead.
Clinging to their old ways, the Mariu's continued to practice their traditions; regardless of humanity's encroaching influence. As appalling as it is to humans and other elves that have accepted humanity, the wood elves remaining in the Seed find it to be the norm for them. Some of the members have abandoned their fellow wood elves and have moved into humanized society, forever being shunned out of the Seed unless they undergo a severe and dire ritual for rejoining.
With time, however, the Mariu’s have slowly turned to modernized society for interaction and trade. Unable to completely avoid society’s progression around them, they’ve accepted the fact that they need their assistance with matters. But surprisingly enough, the Seed stubbornly refused to integrate themselves into the city of Caras Eldar, even if it meant the best for the Mariu's.
Boldly of a few of the members, two wood elves by the name of Ilithanyae and Liwelldwyn spoke up and argued that the Seed's nomadic ways were no longer sufficient enough to survive. By the two wood elves speaking up and revealing the ignored truth, the Mariu's members were split and contemplating a hard, cold reality that was upon them.
Of course, elder wood elves in the Seed refused to listen, but younger ones were more accepting and open-minded.
With this taken into consideration, the majority of the Mariu's came upon a compromise for future integration into society. The terms of the compromise were that Ilithanyae and Liwelldwyn were allowed to remain their status with the Seed, and could also safely move to Caras Eldar with the sole purpose of deciding whether or not the location was suitable and ultimately best for the Mariu's abandonment of nomadic movement.
Thus, the path of adventure and exploration was birthed.
Ilithanyae, being the more outspoken one of the two, took to socializing and managing external views and issues that arose in the city. At times, her sharp tongue got the best of her journey, but she tried to mend her mistakes and attempted to make the most of what came from it. Dearly caring for her sister Liwelldwyn, Ili always was looking out for her and making sure she was behaving.
