    How do you avoid powergaming in roleplay?: Metagaming is when you use information outside of your character within your character. You the player let your character know stuff without any reason of how the character found it out. As if my texted me that his group is going to attack the city my character lives in, my character doesnt know this but I do and I use it within my character, my character now somehow knows. That's not realisitic or true to character.
    How does metagaming disrupt fair roleplay?: Powergaming is abusing your right of roleplaying and the powers your OC holds. When you act like a god in an unfair way and leave the other roleplayers no chance of roleplaying with or against you as your choices overrule. It's not accepted.
