Your character has just arrived in a swampy, dim town. As they look around, their gaze is met with shacks and cabins. It smells of rotted wood and wet moss. They duck and step into a tattered tent, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the tent, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town? She begins, then pauses to study your face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a cushion, “Tell me your story.”

Gerwynder sits down and looks at the old hag, a little terrified, yet she's the only person in town to take him in. Gerwynder, tired yet exhausted from his long trip accepts and sits down and clears his throat. Gerwynder inspects the tattered tent and says ''nice place you got here'' with a short yet abrupt chuckle. Gerwynder looks back at the old hag as if he insulted her and starts answering her question; ''Well, I'm on my way to seek riches. I've come from a far-away land, a land with nothing to offer but illness and betrayal. I had to leave to find my place elsewhere. Along my travels i heard of Aevos, a land of oppertunity for every man and woman. That's when I decided it will be my final destination.'' Gerwynder says as he gets offered a bowl of suspicious soup. Gerwynder looks at it at first, but is quick to grab the bowl as Gerwynder is still exhausted and hungry from his long trip. Gerwynder starts to eat up and the old hag starts speaking about the cities of Aevos and its histories. As the old hag is talking Dennis Gerwynder passes out in the torn up chair he's sitting on, with the soup half-eaten infront of him on the table.
