Althea is her family's own “beacon of light” as they call it. She’s an 18 year old human girl and lives on her family’s farm with her parents and 12 brothers outside of the city of Reza in the Kingdom of Hanseti-Ruska. It’s obvious by her small build (5 foot 1 and 112 pounds) and over bubbly personality that she never had to carry much weight in the fields. Whenever her and her siblings are put to work she always ends up in the flower garden doing meaningless things like dancing, or crafting flower crowns. Not that she simply hates labor, but because she doesn’t have a solid place, she constantly feels like she’ll always be in the way of her brothers but that doesn’t dull her personality. She’s almost constantly in a perfect mood and acts on a whim. This can turn sour for her in an instant because due to her “life is sunshine and rainbow” outlook on life, she never registers when she’s in dangerous situations.
She rarely leaves her home but when she does she accompanies her mother to Rubern to visit family.
She has never had any friends outside of her siblings but she desperately wants real friends of her own. Though because she has no experience she doesn't really know how to behave like an actual friend. To gain friends she becomes extremely self sacrificial. Her negative features is that she is very easy to manipulate and has no strength/knowledge in how to fight to protect herself.
Her strong love for everyone and passion to find the good in every situation was enough of a contribution for her part. She isn’t completely spoiled but she is sheltered, not knowing much about what lies outside of her family’s land. She’d easily influenced by the opinions of others around her but she absolutely hates being alone. It’s one of her strongest weaknesses. Another one of her strong weaknesses is that she always looks for the best in people no matter what their background is. When she was 13 years old she got grounded for two months because she found an injured fugitive in the woods and offered for him to reside at her family’s house until he got well. The criminal took advantage of her kindness and robbed the family after leeching off of them for weeks.
The moment I had stepped off of the boat my face immediately began to light up with awe and just a hint of nervousness.
“So this is what life was like outside of my quiet little farm.” I thought as I quickly made my way into the market. A man soon approached me with a charming smile
“Welcome! What brings you to this lovely city? Adventure? Wealth? Or some grand aspirations to elevate your place in society?”
I was completely caught off guard. “Uh to be honest..” I started off. “I haven’t really gotten that far. I was wondering in town when this very kind traveler said he would take me with him! Of course I had to take the offer this could be one of the greatest friendships in my life!” I then looked around trying to find him but he was nowhere to be seen. The gentleman raised an eyebrow at me so I continued.
“Well that’s alright..” I laughed sheepishly. “Maybe my purpose here is to find some true friends!”
