In your own words, what is powergaming, and why should it be avoided in roleplay?: Using out of character information in character and using that potentially against someone. For example, someone OOC tells you that they're going to a specific place, then going to that place without actual In-Character (IC) reason would be meta-gaming.
In your own words, what is metagaming, and why should it be avoided in roleplay?: Using things that would be unrealistic in character and would be too powerful. Like in the rules, cutting off someones arm, you would at leats have to give them an opportunity to fight back or dodge, forcing them into that situation is an example of power

He normally hangs around with his group of friends, they are normally bandits but that is a rash term to use, depending if you've seen them do things that can acquire such a title. They normally go around stealing things from people and places that can be worth some things. They aren't particularly fighters but can fight if it comes down to it. The whole point of them is to be stealthy and quick. These boys have always grown up together and never have really known their family as their whole life has been on the road, consistently. They do not exactly know how to earn much money in different ways, hence they steal from people.

However, they are not self-righteous, the steal from the rich people in order to give to the poor. They are not very selfish but are quite selfless. They believe people should be equal, no matter how rich or how poor, it should not change how they are positioned in a city. This is due to them living around on the streets for a long while within their life and growing up. These people do not exactly feel the need to kill others, hence they try to be quick and quiet. They are not exactly rebels, they just do not like how most things are ran.

He has a great interest in learning magic. Having some knowledge of history. He is not too keen on Orcs and Elves, though, for he finds them odd creatures and fails to understand why the mean anything in the place of Atlas. Being a heartlander means that he would instinctively be living in the rougher areas of the world. He would, following how most Highlanders are, be rough and persistent. He would have survived through natural selection, using the fact that the strongest have the best chance to live.

He would be extremely religious, as Highlanders are, even sometimes allowing it to take over what he does (Stated in the lore).

The group of 'bandits' always stick together, no matter what. They have formulated a group based on each strength of the individuals.

Roleplay Scenario: The traveller has just arrived in a small town. As they look around, their gaze is met with run down houses and shops. They duck into one of the shacks, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the small room, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town?" She begins, then pauses to study their face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a chair, “Where do you come from? What do you hope to make of yourself?”

((How does your character respond? Please ensure your response is at least six sentences long, and uses at least two actions.))

Example: (delete this when you add your own)

"Oh, I just, uh…" The traveler stutters, tensing up. They eye the crone, then back outside the shack. For a moment, the air thickens with anticipation, until…

-Your definitions could still use a little work. Please provide an example of metagaming, and reword your powergaming definition. You can cut off someones arm, there just needs to be appropriate roleplay leading up to it, and you need to give them the chance to dodge/struggle/fight back.

-Your character may not apply to the server knowing any magic. You will need to do the appropriate roleplay on the server to acquire such magic.

-Please make a reference to the lore; this can be done by mentioning a place your character has grown up or visited, or an event that has impacted your character in some way. Simply mentioning 'Atlas' is not enough. Our lore can be found here.

You have 24 hours to make the above changes.
