    How do you avoid powergaming in roleplay?: Knowing something yourself but not your character, and then using this info.
    If I were to know that someone was going to ambush Sara when she was on an assasin job, then made a trap for them when Sara didn't know this, that would be metagaming
    How does metagaming disrupt fair roleplay?: making yourself too op
    If Sara were to "Raise her swords in a defense impossible to break" this would be powergaming.

If Sara had been on a contract to kill somebody, she would have lied as said she was traveling to join the army of whatever land she was in. She could demonstrate her skills if necessary. "Well, sir, I think I may join up with the army, I'd love the adventure."

If Sara was simply traveling, she would be honest and respond which, of course, adventure again, only this time she would gesture towards her companions. Maybe Sara would ask about the local wildlife. Or about the rate of crime, depending on her intentions. 

"I'm here with these fine men and women for a epic adventure, in which we will surely emerge in victory!"

A: Yea! It’s a bit on the edge but it will work until you can get access to some new skin! We have plenty of skinners on the server who takes in-game money for skins!
