Your character has just arrived in a swampy, dim town. As they look around, their gaze is met with shacks and cabins. It smells of rotted wood and wet moss. They duck and step into a tattered tent, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the tent, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town? She begins, then pauses to study your face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a cushion, “Tell me your story.”
Holding her bag closely to her side while venturing into the village, wondering if there's anyone could help her. Its been days since she arrived in this strange place. Then hearing a voice coming out of the tent causing Leilani to flinch in surprise.
"Oh! I'm sorry madame, I didn't see you there. I'm a tad lost could you help me?"
Her eyes looked at the hag, feeling slightly tense as the elf enters the old woman's home. Glancing around having a sense of uneasiness, unsure if it was a mistake coming into this village.
"Miss? What is the name of his town?."
Glancing around the room as Leilani tries to think back how she arrived in the first place. She had decided to leave home after many years of teaching about apothecaries and herbology from her mother. She wished to study and research different types of healing herbs to help others like her mother did long before her time. Having grown up, in a massive grove of tall trees, life was peaceful for Leilani and her mother Rozen. Their part of the forest seemed to remain unknown to those who wish harm upon them both. As if some kind of veil that only allows those who wish to seek aid from the duo will receive it, only giving small exchanges of trinkets or insecurities both Leilani and her mother would need to live in the forest and not disturb the balance of nature.
Finally it was time for Leilani to leave the nest, having packed an old journal and a few items her mother encouraged her to bring with her on this journey of discovery. Rozen saw the excitement and anxiousness in her daughter's eyes. As much it pained the old wood elf woman, she had to let her daughter go and see the world. Telling her what sort of dangers Leilani may face during her travels. To use her wit and knowledge to get away from situations, if she sees someone who needs help. Aid them as much as she can.
With one final hug goodbye, Leilani set out on her journey to explore the world. Having packed her supplies on an old pony she explored every valley, and sea shore she possibly could go. Until one evening, where the moon was low and fat. Wisps of fog seemed to cover the road, being guided by only a lantern. Leilani could barely see the map in front of her face. Suddenly something spooked her stead and caused it to rear up, knocking the elf down from it's back and dashing off into the unknown with Leilani trying to catch up with it. Only, to find herself lost in this unknown area of the world.
