You’ve just arrived in a swampy, dim town. As you look around, your gaze is met with shacks and cabins. It smells of rotted wood and wet moss. You duck and step into a tattered tent, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the tent, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town? she begins, then pauses to study your face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a cushion, “Tell me your story.”
((How do you respond?))
You clear your throat as you speak in a clear tone that sounded welcoming, "I'm just wandering around, looking for my younger brother." You'd nod your head as thanks for the warm welcome and conversation. Your fingers would be running through your hair as you took a breather, "I always lose him due to his interest in wandering. He's always been a free spirited person who goes where ever the wind takes him." You'd smile and shake your head as you glanced away from her gaze, chuckling as you reminisced about your whole family "He's like my father don't you know." You'd bring you attention back to her and grin "Sorry- ahem- anyways have you seen him? We have some important things to attend to, and I don't have all day to chat with you. You seem really nice though, but you know. Adventure calls.." You'd sheepishly wait for her to respond after all the rambling you had done.

How do you avoid powergaming in roleplay?: To avoid powergaming on your own character, you should be thinking about what is possible and should know what isn't. For others who might powergame you can try to educate them on what a realistic action would be, however if they refuse all you can do is to get staff or to just avoid players who may powergame. It is also important to keep ICC chat separate from OOC chat by keeping emojis OOCLY while all the stuff said ICCLY in the character chat. Powergaming can be hard to avoid with inexperienced players, especially when you do p2l instead of using a rolling system.
How does metagaming disrupt fair roleplay?: It gives your character OOCLY (out of character knowledge). This can create unfair advantages that makes the roleplay experience unfair to others who play realistically.
