Your character has just arrived in a swampy, dim town. As they look around, their gaze is met with shacks and cabins. It smells of rotted wood and wet moss. They duck and step into a tattered tent, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the tent, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town? She begins, then pauses to study your face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a cushion, “Tell me your story.”

Jackson hesitates for a moment, wondering what she meant by expecting me, but eventually sits. "Story?..." he asks rhetorically, thinking for a moment.
"If I were to tell you my full story, we would be here for a long time..." he says, the air now holding mystery and suspense.
"Though I suppose I could offer you an abridged version?..." he clears his throat, then begins.
"I hail form Norland. I am an Orphan. I will not say how. I search for adventure, especially if that adventure leads to payment..."
He pauses, raising an eyebrow.
"Speaking of adventure and payment and such, do you happen to know where I can find such things?"
