Your character has just arrived in a swampy, dim town. As they look around, their gaze is met with shacks and cabins. It smells of rotted wood and wet moss. They duck and step into a tattered tent, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the tent, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town? She begins, then pauses to study your face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a cushion, “Tell me your story.”
((How do you respond?))
Almire, confused by her odd remark, looks around the musty tent, finding nothing of particular intrest. He steps further in and sits down before he begins to speak:
-"Well goodwife, in all honesty I dont have an awful lot to tell. I was born in Grense, the heart of Burgundy, my Pa is a potter and my Ma helps out around the local tavern with cooking and cleaning. We were certainly not rich but pottery is always needed and the tavern was never empty so we didn't struggle either. When I grew up a bit I started helping Pa around the shop but after working there 12 years I decided It was time for me to go my own way. I had some savings, Dad never kept all the money to himself, and so about a year back I decided to leave and explore the world. Ma was very much against it but in the end both she and Pa understood that I needed to see the world to find out what I really want to become. Before leaving, I Got some training with the city guard aswell as this gear and since then I've just been going around from place to place doing any Odd job I can find."
He stands and approaches the hag until he is but a few steps away and then speaks up once more:
-"So old woman, do you know anyone who needs help or should I be on my way?"
