    How do you avoid powergaming in roleplay?: I would say metagaming is when your character has knowledge, gains advantages, or acts on things they cannot possibly know/understand. Example: Your character searches for lost treasure because You, the player, talked to your friend who also plays and they mentioned where hidden treasure was.. Even though, your character was never part of any conversation and could not possibly know the location of the lost treasure.
    How does metagaming disrupt fair roleplay?: Powergaming is when a character does things that "break" the agreed upon systems/rules/limitations. Not only that but truly imagining something like that from the characters perspective, the powergaming character would seem like a god or a being breaking the 4th wall (something like that haha).
