[obviously in minecraft this roleplay sample would look different/shorter, this is my discord roleplay style]
You’ve just arrived in a swampy, dim town. As you look around, your gaze is met with shacks and cabins. It smells of rotted wood and wet moss. You duck and step into a tattered tent, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the tent, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town? she begins, then pauses to study your face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a cushion, “Tell me your story.”
Kiva blinks at you, then they smile, sitting on the cushion with a light "oomph."
Where to begin...
"I rather like this town. Quite... ah... cozy. My parents were... traditional." They tilt their head, thinking.
"My story... I am rather embarrassed to say...! For nothing has occurred. Nothing at all." But is that true?
"My name is... Kiva! Yes, yes, that's it. I have, quite literally, been living under a rock all my life..! I refuse to speak ill of my parents, but they were a tad... eccentric. That's far from a bad thing though... I... Uh... Snuck out." Their smile turns sheepish, as they look away from the hag.
Not once has Kiva shown any sign of apprehension towards the woman based on her age or appearance. They are not one to judge. They are not one to distrust. Naive, you could say, and you would be right.
"While I do not have much of a story currently, I am looking to build one."

Kiva would leave quite a bit out of their own telling of their life story, so I, Spidy, will get into more detail.
They were raised by two dark elves who had tried for years to conceive. When they did, they were happy, but elected to keep their child protected and practically under lock and key. They were traditionalists, believing that dark elves should stick to underground areas.
As a child, though, Kiva's dreamy ambitions caught the attention of their teacher who helped them to sneak out and see what was out there. Brief glimpses, but he took pity on them. Their parents were strict, and they wanted to see everything. They were fascinated by everything about the outside world. They collected trinkets, cherished memories of viewing the stars. Their teacher was a friend to them, but good things come to an end.
Their parents discovered their personal treasure trove, destroying it, and forbade them from seeing their teacher again. No more stars and constellations. No more food from the surface world Kiva idolized so much. They could hardly bear it. They were never one to be held down, and though it pained them to say goodbye, at age 19 they set off on their own adventure.
Their past is one of overprotective parents who refused to let them grow up. Paranoid parents, who loved them very much, just not in the way that they needed.
