You’ve just arrived in a swampy, dim town. As you look around, your gaze is met with shacks and cabins. It smells of rotted wood and wet moss. You duck and step into a tattered tent, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the tent, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town? she begins, then pauses to study your face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a cushion, “Tell me your story.”

Heletris looked to the old hag, hesitating for a moment before opening her lips to speak, "My story? Well...I come from Elvenesse. My parents worked humble jobs of farming and cooking and raised me to be close with nature, as is our way. I once wished to be an acolyte for the Green Priesthood, perhaps I sometimes still wish for that. But either way, my life of farming was not satisfying for me." Heletris took in a small breath, her eyes moving from the lady to the floor. "My father died. The grief ruined my mother and haunted our household. Thus, I set out from home. I left my mother with the care of her friends and told them I'd visit often, but that I wished to see the world more and wanted to find a path for myself. Perhaps that shall be the priesthood, perhaps it shall be something else. Either way, I'm looking for a new life. One I can be proud of." Her voice rose in confidence, eyes looking back up to the lady with a small determined look in her eye.
