    In your own words, what is powergaming, and why should it be avoided in roleplay?: using information to make a decision in-character that your character has no access to. such as: "i've played through this area before on a different character or i have a friend who has so i'm going to explore more efficiently based on that knowledge". l
    In your own words, what is metagaming, and why should it be avoided in roleplay?: powergaming is doing something in role play to control the situation directing events rather than letting them play out. like: "Tharian swung cutting his opponent in two" rather than Tharian swung attempting to cleave his foe"

Tharian was born amongst his clan deep in the mountains, spending his younger years hunting, fighting, and drinking in high forests. It was a glorious time but it was not to last. War stuck his small clan as resources where scarce in the area and they where driven to seek better opportunities in the land of Arcas. Hearing that the clans of Agnarum had forged a new home for themselves in the under realm of Urguan he decides to make the long journey for fame, adventure, and fortune. Although many of his family where hunters Tharian is a blacksmith and a warrior seeking adventure and the opportunity for rare materials to forge weapons or armor to make a name for himself. Being a sell sword and mercenary by trade he will fight for who ever has the coin to purchase his axe, however, once he makes a deal to fight for someone he would sooner die than break a contract.

Physical Description: Theren is a stout dwarf about 5.2 with bright blue eyes full of laughter and a ginger beard smelling of dwarven stout.
Roleplay Scenario: The traveller has just arrived in a small town. As they look around, their gaze is met with run down houses and shops. They duck into one of the shacks, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the small room, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town?" She begins, then pauses to study their face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a chair, “Where do you come from? What do you hope to make of yourself?”
