Your character has just arrived in a swampy, dim town. As they look around, their gaze is met with shacks and cabins. It smells of rotted wood and wet moss. They duck and step into a tattered tent, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the tent, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town? She begins, then pauses to study your face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a cushion, “Tell me your story.”
"you've been... expecting me?" Andrea said suspiciously looking at the old hag with caution her hand steady on the dagger in her pocket. "Why would I tell you about my story... I don't even know you.." she glanced around to see if its a trap. "Well I don't see how It can hurt but you better not tell anyone. Got it.?" Andrea said roughly as she sat down...
"Well I grew up in a small village... my parents.. well they weren't the best.. plus our situation with money didn't really help either.." She said looking at the floor avoiding the gaze of the old hag.
"When my mother found out she was pregnant and gave birth... she and my father left me with my little brother they said he was too much for them. he was only a week old." Andrea said furiously. "I was 11 at the time." She mumbles "And I had to work day and night.. for little money just so i can feed him.. and afford a blanket for him." A tear falls down her cheek out of hurt and frustration, she quickly wipes it off.
"At one point when my brother was 5 years old my parents came back in wealthy clothes. They took him away like I didn't do a good job raising him." She grits out through her teeth. "I did a ******* good job. No thanks to them because they weren't there." Her voice gets louder before she catches herself and sighs out looking at the old woman and then continues.
"I've been searching all these years.. I don't even know if he is alive. but what i do know is that I will never give up on him." Andrea said with a shaky voice but determined darting her gaze away.
after some time Andrea looks at the her finally, her eye burning with emotion and longing.. "That's how I stumbled upon this.. town."
