    How do you avoid powergaming in roleplay?: I stop and think to myself, "Would my character realistically be able to do that?", and then think of an action that would fit in universe and for my character.
    How does metagaming disrupt fair roleplay?: Metagaming makes reveals and suspense unfun and not exciting. I've had way too many roleplay scenarios ruined by metagaming since it is such a detriment when it is applied to a scenario.

You’ve just arrived in a swampy, dim town. As you look around, your gaze is met with shacks and cabins. It smells of rotted wood and wet moss. You duck and step into a tattered tent, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the tent, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town? she begins, then pauses to study your face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a cushion, “Tell me your story.”

"Heya!" Cerys slips off her vest and sets it on the cushion. She smiles and sits down on the cushion, keeping her eyes on the woman, "So, I was backpacking from Petra since I didn't feel like I fit in there. I've been traveling for 3 weeks. This town looked interesting, so I stopped here to see if there was anything interesting happening!" She giggles and shuffles in her seat as she awaits the woman's response.
