Your character has just arrived in a swampy, dim town. As they look around, their gaze is met with shacks and cabins. It smells of rotted wood and wet moss. They duck and step into a tattered tent, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the tent, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town? She begins, then pauses to study your face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a cushion, “Tell me your story.”

"I've been wandering all my life... Always searching for something new to see." He looked at the flames tilting his head, "I have been living in my own solitude for so long now that I believe I need to find something... or someone." he gazed into the visage of her face, "I can't remember much besides the fact that I've been on my own for so long... Must've hit my head years ago or something." He chuckled at the joke he made, "I've been wearing the same armor for so long that it's almost my skin." He wondered off in reflection for a few moments before snapping back to reality, "I'll stop with the philosophy for now... But in all honesty I'm just looking for a drink and a place to rest." Skald reflected on the hard nights he has endured sleeping on the dirt, "Now then ma'am is there a place of respite in this boggish land?" He sat there waiting for a response she hasn't given, "I think that's enough of my story; now what is there to do around here?"
