    How do you avoid powergaming in roleplay?: Metagaming is quite simply, your character being aware of things they should not know. Ex. If Valaeth were to know about a war going on in a different part of the country despite never have been there.
    How does metagaming disrupt fair roleplay?: Basically being OP and acting as though you are an almighty being who is not affected by the rules bound to the land.

Valaeth's eyes scanned the land before her, it was so rare she had travelled and she was interested in learning more about these new lands. Her gaze met the gentleman and she smiled politely, "My name is Valaeth, I have come to explore new lands and seek adventure wherever my feet take me. Could you direct me to a library perhaps?"
