When Valaeth was born, she already was thrown into a dark world when she was born to Elvenesse. She was the only child her parents ever had and her mother had passed during birth. Though the girl tried not to be bothered by this, it had caused tension in her and her father's relationship. Her father did very little while raising her but she managed to find people who were willing to teach her basic language and life skills. When she was 7, her father had become smitten with a high elf. But the woman had no interest in Val and told her father she would not be with a man with a child.
Her father promised the beautiful woman before him that he would find her somewhere new to live and go with her. But he had lied, he simply dropped the Val off in Arcas and left her with nothing but the clothes on her back. Fortune was on her side it seemed, as she was able to earn small coin by fishing and harvesting, selling fresh crops and fish at market. This was enough to keep her going throughout her childhood and as she grew she kept her business of selling fresh crop and built herself a small home. She still remains in Arcas and keeps herself well behaved.
