Colyn Dyrmoore was raised in Senntisten, the capital of the Kingdom of Marna. As he was an only child living in the tavern his parents owned, he’d spend his days listening to tales from the many traveling adventurers. However as the years passed and Colyn grew older, his laziness grew more prominent and interfered with his daily life. As time moved on, Colyn started partaking more and more in the festivities and less in his work. He would spend all his time chatting up the patrons, whilst pushing away his friends and family. He didn’t realize it at the time; he was simply too enamoured with their recollections of their adventures. He wanted for nothing more than to join them one day. But he never dared to leave his home. There were dragons and orcs out there and who knows what else. And eventually the patrons would leave the tavern and by extent, him. He would be left with a hole. A hole he longed to be filled. So he filled it with the only thing he had. Drink. His parents would plead for him to at least work for it, but he paid them no mind. He was either too lost in a daydream or sleeping off a hangover. This continued on for years, until his mother finally confronted him. His parents didn’t trust him. He had no real friends left and he was miserable in his family home. Pride was what kept him from finding fault in himself. There was no reason to stay. Colyn's parents would find his room cleaned out with only an empty rum bottle left on the stone floor. He would find his own happiness.
