You’ve just arrived in a swampy, dim town. As you look around, your gaze is met with shacks and cabins. It smells of rotted wood and wet moss. You duck and step into a tattered tent, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the tent, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town? she begins, then pauses to study your face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a cushion, “Tell me your story.”
((How do you respond?))
Barachon looks around the room, looks at the old lady in front of him, and his left hand edges ever closer to his blade, unsure of how she knew who he was. "who are you, and how do you know me?" he gets a little more wary, but then goes out of a defensive stance, and sits down by her. He then exhales, and puts his blade on his lap, looking at his reflection in the body of the blade itself. "My mother..... was a mistress from Celia'nor. My father was a soldier from a family her parents knew. Neither of them liked the marriage, but kept going with it anyway. One day, they visited Haense, and she met an Adunian Blacksmith, named Haladin. He is the Father of my Half-twin brother, Galachon. She revealed her feelings to the Blacksmith and my Father. My father decided that it'd be best that she'd stay there. she then left Celia'nor. She later stayed within Haense and married the Blacksmith. Eventually, she had Galachon and I. Growing up, I was close with Haladin. He taught me his trade, and imparted upon me his dream of learning under Urguan's greatest blacksmiths. It wasn't until Adulthood that our mother told us about our different fathers, and well.... we grew distant after that. I don't know where Galachon is now, but I'm hoping I hear rumors of where he is. Someday soon, I'll be able to find him." Barachon then exhales, and certainly looks more relaxed than he was earlier. He then got up, stretched, and thanked her for her time of listening to his story, and then resumed his journey.

How do you avoid powergaming in roleplay?: I mainly stick with borders around what my character can and can't do, including what they can or can't do, like a halfling being able to beat an Olog in a fight
How does metagaming disrupt fair roleplay?: It can effect an unfair advantage, and ultimately ruins the immersion of the story itself. That and it fully stops others from having a level of fun that one could normally have with a challenge someone would get without it
