You’ve just arrived in a swampy, dim town. As you look around, your gaze is met with shacks and cabins. It smells of rotted wood and wet moss. You duck and step into a tattered tent, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the tent, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town? she begins, then pauses to study your face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a cushion, “Tell me your story.”

Standing proud "I'm here to find my purpose!" Knowing it sounds dumb coming out of his mouth he quickly shuts up and sits down. "I wanted to be an adventurer but I thought "so does everyone" so I am trying to figure out what it is I am put on this earth for, we all have a purpose, wouldn't you agree?" He smiles "Anyways, I'm Lionel. I come from a small village in Nevaehlen, I used to sell wild game and hunt with my father." He says, still smiling but you can tell something is off. "I haven't been out on my own for long, though, I still miss home." His mood growing darker. "My father was real hard on me..." His eyes shift down. "He wanted me to grow up strong! He wanted me to turn out like him, because after all, he grew up mother-less and he turned out... "strong" in his words." He sits down on a log. "I hated it, but I always thought "I'll be like my father!" But I think thats a bit why I hated it." a long pause went by. The light seemed more somber "I was angry a lot. I was angry my mother left. Without a word, she left me, but I was angry at my father for doing nothing about it. He didn't try to stop her from leaving, he just stood there, and after she left he never looked for her, or even spoke about her." growing quiet. "It was like she never existed... I asked my father why she left but he would scream and hit me saying it's my fault, but never giving an answer." He touched the scar on the middle of his hand, lightly and slowly stroking it. "One day I had enough of it all... The screaming... the beating... I was much older now and I thought I could get some answers, finally." He stared at the dancing fire, with tears glazing around his eye. "He was out in the field one day and I sprinted after him, holding my breath the entire time, and started bombarding him with punches. I got a few hits in before he flipped me over and grabbed a sickle he was using. I knew he wanted to kill me." He began to choke on his own words, as tears began to form in his eyes. "The sickle was heading straight for me, so I put my hand up to stop it. The sickle went through my hand but, I didn't feel a thing, I had so much adrenalin in me." he gripped the small knife on his belt. "I flipped him over and took the sickle, removing it from my hand, and I stabbed him in the chest." His eyes looked blank and empty for a few seconds as he resumed. "I left him there, not calling anyone to help, not even seeing if he is alive or not, I grabbed all my things, and ran as fast as I could." There was a dim silence for a second, as he snapped back to reality. "I passed through a few towns before I got here, I wanted to start a new life."

How do you avoid powergaming in roleplay?: In a Minecraft medieval roleplay server, it's important to keep the experience fair and immersive. To avoid powergaming, I'll make sure my character's actions are realistic and follow the server's rules. I won't force actions on other players' characters and will ensure my character doesn't perform overpowered or unrealistic feats. Collaborative storytelling and open communication with fellow players are essential for an enjoyable and balanced roleplay experience on the server.
How does metagaming disrupt fair roleplay?: Metagaming can disrupt fair roleplay on a Minecraft medieval server by allowing characters to use information they shouldn't know, which can lead to an unfair and unrealistic roleplay experience. It's essential to keep in-character knowledge separate from out-of-character information to maintain the immersion and authenticity of the medieval world we're trying to create.
