You’ve just arrived in a swampy, dim town. As you look around, your gaze is met with shacks and cabins. It smells of rotted wood and wet moss. You duck and step into a tattered tent, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the tent, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town? she begins, then pauses to study your face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a cushion, “Tell me your story.”

They take a seat across from the hag, trying to not present themselves as rushed as they truly are. As they steady themselves on the cushion, they finally find the time to look up at her. "I am not sure entirely what you have been told or who has told you, but I am simply here to learn. That is all I have ever- well tried to do. I tend to get, kinda mixed up in things. I simply want to learn all I can on this world, however many do not take kindly to observers. I get dragged into things. It is never the intended outcome of course, it just happens." They trail off, looking at all of the suspended candles in a slight awe. For someone as travelled as they present themselves to be, it seems most things still captivate their attention. As if they had been slapped they suddenly snap back into the present, away from wherever their mind was wandering. "Right, before I get any further... who are you?"
