In your own words, what is powergaming, and why should it be avoided in roleplay?: What I’d call metagaming is knowing that a friend is in need or a foe is raiding while being miles away from the actual issue. Somehow knowing a piece of information with no explanation of how you gained it. Your character needs a reason for knowing what they know.
In your own words, what is metagaming, and why should it be avoided in roleplay?: Powergaming for me is as you people also stated (I think it's the best way to say it) Sruviving a fatal hit or somehow get right back on your feet when you've been crushed or kill an orc when you yourself is barely even a knight.
    Status: Accepted

Durhuk’s mother, Muthda Coldhead, gave birth to him at the age of 87 in Urguan. He was born in a small stone smithery which was owned and run by his father, Lamath Steelwill. It was their home and growing up inside Durhuk also became a blacksmith like his father. Durhuk spent more time with his father than his mother and soon quickly picked up how to forge simple daggers. His father was never impressed by his work due to his high expectations for Durhuk that he could simply not meet. His mother always told him inspiring stories about a clan who were fearless and relentless. “The Frostbeards” was the clan that never gave up. As he was in his mid teens, his father grew too old to work meaning Durhuk had to take over and forge the weaponry and armor himself. Durhuk got better at the skill of blacksmithing but it came with a price. Durhuk was haunted by the thoughts of never becoming good enough at blacksmithing. He thought that one day he would grow to become a forgotten blacksmith and would never become anything more. These thoughts would lay at the back of his mind for years to come. Durhuk soon came to his 20s with an idea to prove his father wrong. Durhuk asked questions of the inspiring stories his mother told him when he was young. After a decade more of blacksmithing, Durhuk felt ready to set foot to travel and join The Frostbeard clan. He was ready to make his mother proud and prove his father wrong, once in for all. He wish his mother goodbye and went on his way.
