    How do you avoid powergaming in roleplay?: What I’d call metagaming is knowing that a friend is in need or a foe is raiding while being miles away from the actual issue. Somehow knowing a piece of information with no explanation of how you gained it. Your character needs a reason for knowing what they know.
    How does metagaming disrupt fair roleplay?: Powergaming for me is as you people also stated (I think it's the best way to say it) Sruviving a fatal hit or somehow get right back on your feet when you've been crushed or kill an orc when you yourself is barely even a knight.

Before you read further keep in mine that in roleplay you dont speak in first person its all third person so instead of saying Id it would be Hed
