Enri arrives in a swampy, dim town. As she looks around, her gaze is met with shacks and cabins. It smells of rotted wood and wet moss. She ducks and steps into a tattered tent, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the tent, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town? she begins, then pauses to study your face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a cushion, “Tell me your story.”
"..." Enri grabs her trusty book and quill and begins writing 'Firstly, I am a mute, so please forgive me having to write such things down, but I come from lands far away in search of my voice. Some say it is permanently lost, but I believe I can find it somewhere. Thus I am on my way to Alisgrad in Norland because I hear from some nations that is where someone who would steal a voice from someone might be located. However, I do find it interesting that someone would know of my coming...' Enri proceeds to write the next sentence before holding the hilt of her weapon and glaring at the hag, 'You wouldn't happen to know where I could start when I get there, right?'
(OUT OF CHARACTER: I'd like to have it written in books, letters, or gestures. Maybe get a book and quill soul-bound for the sake of "speaking", but I also like the idea of losing the book occasionally and not being able to speak in certain situations)
