Ese was born to Alba and Rogna Hoyaard. Her father, Alba, was the son of a Haensi deserter who'd decided against aiding his fellows in forming Royaume of Auvergne and instead chose to settle down in the woods with a woman who'd died giving birth to the Alba. Her mother, Rogna, was the daughter of a woman who'd ran from New Reza during the Siege of New Reza, and met with a farmer out in the lesser populated regions of Almaris. Eventually, Rogna and Alba had met up in town and decided to move out further into the woods - Naturally, because of their ancestors, they lived somewhat solitarily and lonesomely, their teaching and education being somewhat up to par - Though still nowhere near scholarly. 

Ese was taught to read, write, and similar by her mother; Always taking cautious steps to care for the girl and give her the kindest of upbringings, she found it most important to assure Ese would be raised with kind intents and a kind 'base' to her personality. Her father, the alternative, was difficult and rough with the girl. Having instead desired a boy, she was raised as roughly as one could expect a parent to treat an unwanted child - Abusively, even being thrown into a lake to force her to swim back to shore.

Taken hunting and often left in the woods by her father to find her way back home by herself, she grew up like her parents - Inclined to being lonesome, quiet, and naturally inclined to solidarity and natural environments. Eventually, when she was old enough and had gathered up enough food from hunting - And weapons, albeit simple or stolen from her father - to get on her way, she simply left home in the middle of the night - Intent on seeking out greater pursuits, and no longer wanting to live alone, quiet, and eventually snuffed out in silence.

TL;DR : She had daddy issues and did something about it.
