Bal'Ayle Understaff is a beardling from the forest dwarven clans and has grown up in and around the great city Kal’Tarak although most comfortable above the ground he was very fond growing up amongst the mushroom groves and while not as old as he, feels that the mushrooms and the groves have a sentience older even then he. Drawn from a young age to the life of plants and nature he has long yearned to further his studies into nature, life and the forces that permeate the older forests of Atlas.
Inbetween studies Bal’Ayle works best at tinkering with wooden constructs of his own design, often trying to push the limits of the materials, his “young” age by dwarven standards has still afforded him almost two lifetimes worth of study and expertise by mere human standards and comfortable with his trade and craftsmanship supports himself with his curious devices out of simple materials like wood, stone and iron.
Approaching the end of his enforced beardling title from his peers he has begun his great journey to visit other nations and unlike the other Dwedmar, his only greed, his only thirst, is for knowledge, fascinated by the mushrooms he has spent years watching he feels that there is much to be learned from fungi, the life and death of this unusual existence, it fuels his current study into druidic teachings and this thirst for knowledge, driven by the curses given by Ibless to his own nature, his flesh, his soul via his ancestry, he seeks, reaches out for this knowledge, for in his greed and this drive, there is power to be gained.
