Macca’s upbringing was typical for Farfolk growing up on the outskirts of the Empire of Man on Atlas. Her father, Mallard, was a veteran of the Third Atlas Coalition War, and was awarded a certain degree of respect unbefitting others in his profession: miner. Her mother, Lin, was the forewoman of a lumber mill. Together, they were stern but fair parents to Macca, encouraging her to explore her interests outside the Empire, emphasizing the importance of knowledge and faith. In her coming of age however, she challenged the traditional faith set in the Empire of Man, Creationism. She felt that all deities, be they spirit or Aengudaemon, that could demonstrate their existence deserved worship. She gathered books on theology, magics, and matters of the occult, building a repertoire of faith from what she read. She whittled tokens of various faiths from wood and set them on her gold jewelry, inheritance from a wealth long since lost to her family. The Aspects, Tehariel, Metztli, Dragur, Yemekar, and various prominent spirits sported their own place amongst her jewelry.
At a certain point, Macca fled the coop to seek fulfillment. She gathered and preserved samples of bugs, trading and selling them to interested parties to scrounge a living together as she roamed, hoping to one day become renowned amongst the faithful of the land, regardless of faith.
