Your character has just arrived in a swampy, dim town. As they look around, their gaze is met with shacks and cabins. It smells of rotted wood and wet moss. They duck and step into a tattered tent, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the tent, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town? She begins, then pauses to study your face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a cushion, “Tell me your story.”

"Oh, thank you." He smiles warmly, taking a seat in front of her. "My story isn't exactly a special one, I lived with my father just outside the Commonwealth of Petra, he was a woodworker you see, a real good one at that." His smile faded a bit, he looked away from the woman for a moment before returning his gaze to her.
"It didn't stop the guards from thinking my father stole from the noble in charge," He cleared his throat. "He was innocent, I swear it, even as he was put to death I knew my father would never do something like that. But I wasn't strong enough to stop them, not that it would have mattered if I was, who am I to stand up to a noble?" The boy chuckled under his breath. "That's in the past now, I left that place, I didn't see another option really. Now I'm just looking for what to do next, hopefully find somewhere outside the Empire of Man, at least for now."
He started to stand. "Who knows, maybe one day I'll move past the station my birth assigned me, god willing."
