    In your own words, what is metagaming, and why should it be avoided in roleplay?: Powergaming is making someone do something or forcing actions apon them and being like a god like person. Or just plain overpowered.

Garen grew up in the city of Talar’ikur in the isolated culture of the snow elves. His Uncle Drakovic took Garen under his wing as his parents abandoned him at his uncles doorstep. At a young age Garens uncle taught him to fight and become prominent with a sword and bow. Over time he also grew to hate the High Elves due to the genocide and persecution his people faced during the long history of war. Garen worked hard on his education because he decided he wanted to travel the outside world for himself. He wanted to go on adventures that he knew he could be ready for. At the young age of 18 he decided to leave the city and travel to other lands in search of purpose and adventure. 

 

Garens personality is quite cold and he can be distant. He is a curious individual that can seem rude to others but when he has affection for someone he will show it.

Physical Description: Garen is 6'2 and 175. He has blue eyes and ghostly pale skin. He also has white hair but it is covered by his helm.
Roleplay Scenario: The traveller has just arrived in a small town. As they look around, their gaze is met with run down houses and shops. They duck into one of the shacks, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the small room, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town?" She begins, then pauses to study their face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a chair, “Where do you come from? What do you hope to make of yourself?”
