How do you avoid powergaming in roleplay?: Before I do anything roleplay, I think to myself of what it would be if my character was me in the real world. This allows me to eliminate anything unearthly to happen during roleplay. I also Value the roleplay more than my character. I gain far more excitement from seeing a successful roleplay rather a character arc.
How does metagaming disrupt fair roleplay?: Metagaming can mess up roleplay by you yourself just knowing information outside of your characters knowledge. Like for example if I were kidnapped and I were to be in the middle of no-where, but I knew out of character the entire location I would have to make sure that I made a way for my character to know our location like finding a hidden map where I was kidnapped, so that I could actually escape. metagaming can ruin roleplay by acting on your thoughts rater than the roleplay.

You’ve just arrived in a swampy, dim town. As you look around, your gaze is met with shacks and cabins. It smells of rotted wood and wet moss. You duck and step into a tattered tent, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the tent, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town? she begins, then pauses to study your face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a cushion, “Tell me your story.”

((How do you respond?))

"Well... I suppose I could do with a little rest" says Kog as he grabs his Burlap sack and takes it off of his shoulder to put to the ground next to the cushion. Kog sits in with his legs crossed with each heel at the opposite knee. "It isn't the shortest of stories, so we'll be due for a drink." he says as he reaches into his sack and pulls out two rugged stone mugs and a waterskin filled with mead. He places a mug in front of him and the old hag, then pours them a drink. "Surprisingly in my young age I have learned that even with all of your mite and power put to a single objective you can still fail. When I was child I wasn't very playful or imaginative. I just mindlessly worked for my tribe. We were in severe debt to some nobles that pressured even the young to make up the tribe's losses. Eventually the tribe had had enough. They planned an attack on the nobles, so that maybe just maybe that the young could escape and make their own lives. I was one of the young. I travelled from town to town trying to find a home, but kept getting thrown out over and over again. Eventually I had to figure out how to live by myself out of society and safety of the tribe. I settle in a forest next to a small town so I could possibly steal some food at night to help me get by, but as the years went on they started to notice the tiniest bit of food missing and I had to start hunting. I had never hunted before, that was work for the adults of the tribe. I had been two years shy of being a hunting cub. After a while I just kept growing older until I could try and find my place in society again when I could actually be appreciated for the strength and thick skin that I had. I could do jobs that no other race could do easily because of it, but I wanted to grow my legacy more and settle in a good place for me to raise a family... that is where I am now searching for a beautiful young women to settle down with." after Kog is done speaking he grabs his mug and drink all the mead in one foul gulp. "I don't mean to be rude, but I think I need to be going now. I won't be able to find a mistress sitting around sopping in my story, but thank you. I haven't sat down on my thoughts in a very long time. So long" Kog says as he packs up and waves goodbye.
