Frederick Richtofen is the son of a small merchant family in Morsgrad. Growing up he spent much of his youth with his parents to learn the art of trade and learning new things, meeting fascinating people, and seeing items along the way. His childhood was largely unaffected by the Inferi's attempt to take over Arcas. However at the end of the first age when the descendants left Arcas his family was forced to leave their wealth, coming to loathe other people and means for self success. It wasn’t much help during a time of troubles that spread into the land. They traveled around to make ends meet after running through their wealth. They scrapped by at the bare minimum to sell and exchange whatever they could. This tough life would ultimately end in Frederick’s parents perishing once they had sold what their final items. In the aftermath of this event, Frederick travelled to the city of Varhelm, in the Kingdom of Norland. In Norland, Frederick would find solace for his parents' deaths in the Ashwood Tavern, in the center of the city. Here, drink, and conversation could be found in the plenty to take his mind away from his grief. Moreover, he would find more comfort in the Red Faith, finding a renewed purpose and motivation to rebuild what his family had lost.
Frederick Richthofen looked at some of the wares in the bazaar with fascination along with familiarity with some of the items. Looking at the gentlemen he answered, “I am here for anything that may come and see how I may find ways to better myself and my ambition.” Frederick looks around the market and sees a map and hears the locals to see where he can start a new beginning. With an understanding and general idea of where to go he heads into the new open world with some high expectations yet is indecisive as to how.
