    How do you avoid powergaming in roleplay?: Metagaming is when an individual discovers information out-of-character and applies it in-character to benefit in some form.
    How does metagaming disrupt fair roleplay?: Powergaming is commonly when a character performs an unrealistic action that forces another action/reaction out of someone else, regardless of whether or not it is in combat. Powergaming can include neglecting realism or lore-based logic too.

Acantha stopped as soon as the gentleman approached her. She silently straightened out the fabrics of her robes. Meanwhile, her eyes looked the stranger up and down. “I suppose you could say that I have grand aspirations,” the Elfess waved one hand dismissively, “To advance my social standing is not what I seek, though.” 

 

Before the man could question her further, Acantha’s other hand motioned outward to drive him back. She continued down her path as she said coolly, “I wish to further my studies, simple as.”
