Aenwyn is a young elven woman born and living in the city of Haelun'or. She owns a library she founded, deep in the forests and sells ancient, enchanted books & various potions. She lives by herself in a quaint cottage connected to her library. She hasn’t seen her family since she was 14, her parents disappeared along with her older sister, and no one knows what happened to them. She lives a quiet life, with few friends and a pet Ferret named Rue who, like very few elves, keeps her as a pet for emotional and companionship reasons. Her best friend Filverel is a fisherman who lives by the river. They met in her library while he was buying a mysterious book. She showed interest in his choice of ancient book, and the pair quickly got talking about myths of other readings.

They duck into one of the shacks, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the small room, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town?" She begins, then pauses to study their face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a chair, “Where do you come from? What do you hope to make of yourself?”
