Lyra grew up in a rich but abusive high elf family in Caurost. She had everything in the world, except the one thing she always wanted, someone who actually loved her. This caused her to develop trust issues from a very young age, especially when it comes to men. As she got older, to protect her heart, she developed a mean and condescending demeanor even though she is a really kind person at heart. on her 18th birthday, both her parents forgot about her birthday, and that was the last straw for her. She packed up, and simply left the house, never to return again. She tells herself that she is exploring and is free, but in reality, she knows that she is running away from her old life, petrified that one day it will catch up to her again.
The traveller has just arrived in a small town. As they look around, their gaze is met with run down houses and shops. They duck into one of the shacks, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the small room, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town?" She begins, then pauses to study their face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a chair, “Where do you come from? What do you hope to make of yourself?”

The traveler pauses as she was about to sit down. "What do you mean you were expecting me" she subconsciously reaches for a knife hidden in her dress, "who are you." Another pause as she eyes the old hag "did my parents send you," she says, narrowing her eyes.
The hag would quickly raise her hands "my apologies ma'am, i saw your ship come in, so it was only a matter of time before you found yourself here" the hag gestures to the seat again "please, indulge this old lady in some conversation won't you. it gets awfully lonely here."
The traveler, would sheath the knife, and slowly take a seat, still keeping her eyes on the hag "hmph, ...sure, i'll chat, " she pauses "you asked where i come from? and what i hope to make of myself" she takes a deep breath before continuing "let me say this, i came from a place that might as well be hell, and for the second question, i just want to have a good life, thats all."
