Growing up as the simple child of a weaponsmith near old Helena, to his own suprise, Robert was given the opportunity to come to the city with a wandering trader. For a few years, he made himself a name in Helena for doing peoples “dirty work” when an imperial recruiter suddenly showed up near his accommodation and promised him wealth and glory, if he would fight alongside the imperial army in the Great Ruben War against the Alliance of Independent States. While participating in the war, he was matched with multiple warriors from around the world. One of these warriors became his longtime friend and companion. His name was Gottfried. Since then, the two matched up with more veterans of the the Great Ruben War to become an independant group of mercenaries, strolling through the country and looking for their next big job.
