    How do you avoid powergaming in roleplay?: Metagaming is when you bring outside information in from the real world (information that your character wouldn't know) and use it in-game. I.e *Friend private messages me saying they are being kidnapped, says please help me.* Unless someone communicated to my character in-game, my character wouldn't know that my friend is in danger, and so wouldn't be able to help them. If I were to use the information provided to me out of character, I would be metagaming.
    How does metagaming disrupt fair roleplay?: Powergaming is when you make your character overpowered. i.e *Dodges all attacks without any mistakes, even though I've lost an eye, I have an arrow wound in my shoulder, and I've broken my ankle.* You make your roleplaying responses/character unbeatable. It also includes a person forcing another person to emote, or do something in a certain way through roleplay.
